Lock your doors!

I'm writing this to remind everyone to lock their doors during the Holiday season and well... always.

Last night I was home alone in the basement when all of a sudden I heard a ruckus upstairs and what sounded like footsteps. Then I started to hear Junior, the cat, meow really loud. Not the normal type of meow either. The type of meow where she is hurt or being tortured or something. I decided to call Jonathan after a minute to see if it was him upstairs and what was he doing to Junior. I called about 3 times and he finally answered, but he wasn't here, still at school.

Panicked I called the police and locked myself in my room. At this point Junior was still meowing a lot and I was still hearing creaks upstairs. I had already heard what sounded like a door shut. The first operator had a hard time hearing me but she was able to get my address. Then a second operator called me and told me officers were on their way. When they got here the circled the house and then the operator told me to go upstairs and get the door. When I got up there the officers were already in the house. I told them what I heard and what had happened. They looked around the house to check and see if anyone was hiding out. After nothing found I felt a little dumb, but I felt better knowing that no one was there, at least not anymore.

I checked the back door and it was locked, but I asked the officers if the front door was unlocked and it was! When they left they reminded me to lock the door behind them and to be careful.

I took a look around and nothing seemed to be missing or even touched. The strange thing was Junior was locked in the downstairs living room and I have no idea how she would have got there because she was upstairs when I had closed that door last. I started to question myself thinking maybe it was silly and I was just psyching myself out down there. But then I formulated a theory.

I'm guessing someone might have come in the house to look for Christmas tree loot to rob. We don't have one set up here so when they saw there was nothing maybe they left. Whats so so scary is some of our neighbors have had break ins in the past. Our next door neighbor had their car stolen from their garage while they were still home!

And as far as Junior goes maybe they came in the downstairs living room to look and as they closed the door she got locked down there. Or another theory is her cat companion Surfer left recently so she could have just been meowing because she missed him, but this doesn't explain the other noises that I heard and nothing seemed to be knocked over so all I can guess is footsteps and door.

So please everyone be so so careful and don't hesitate to call the police if you suspect anyone unwelcome in your home, trust your instincts. I heard enough noise up there to think Jonathan was home! Plus it's good for the police to have an idea of criminal activity in your neighborhood.

Be careful everyone and have a safe Christmas!

Thankful to have had such a wonderful dad

Gregory Hilton 1953 ~ 2009 Gregory Kim Hilton passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 of heart failure. In deed, his heart was so large from caring for so many. Greg lived his entire life in one home, his family home in Murray. Greg wore many hats. Without question his favorite role in life was loving his pride joy, Kimberly Pookie Bear Bradbury. And Greg only had one job - growing and running his father's radio station with his family and friends, turning KSOP into a pillar of Salt Lake. Among other things, Greg single handedly turned scrubs into a cool outfit for those outside the medical world and recently added a tie-dyed twist. Greg, a.k.a. Grudda Hilltop, lived well yet not long enough. He shared a birthday, March 10, with more relatives than the writer can remember. He is survived by Kimberly and Jonathan Bradbury, Colleen Witt Hilton, Jessica and Michael Shannon, Henry Hilton, Michael Hilton, Kathy and John LaValley, Don and Karen Hilton, Christopher Hilton, Tommy and Tracy Hilton, Amy and Jason Sazama, Ravi Dharnidharka, Rajiv Dharnidharka, Sarah and Shaun Sparks, Layla and Jason Aronow, Robert and Daisy Hilton, Rebecca Hilton, and several little munchkins, including two Xanders. He joins his mother Luana, brother Eric, and brother Sajjan. Please join us this Saturday, October 10th at 2 p.m. to celebrate Greg's life at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, located at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), with a viewing from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. Interment (likely Greg's) at Murray City Cemetery. Donations to Greg's favorite charity Utah Food Bank in lieu of flowers, please. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com

It's been a month now since I've lost my best friend, my dad. I love him so much and my heart hurts everyday from losing him. I feel like I need him here with me so much! Sometimes life isn't fair and takes away those we love too soon. I love you dad and miss you so much!

ADAM BRADBURY

Aren't those Bradbury boys so handsome in uniform?

The other day I was getting out of my car at the mall. We are right by Hill AFB and there was a big airplane that was flying overhead. I tried quickly to get my camera out but failed. Well as I was coming out of the mall the plane was flying over again so I recorded this. I couldn't help but think of Adam. I know its not the same plane he flies but the size just clicked. I just wanted to say thanks to all those who serve and their families.

Be safe Adam we miss ya!

Kimberly's Rainy Day Adventure!

A few weeks ago I was driving back to work from class and this is the fun I was driving in. I can't believe how hard it was raining.

This first video is on the freeway. I was so shocked it was raining so hard I had to pull out my camera. The video doesn't do the rain justice it was much worse than it looks!

This second video is when I got off the freeway and I was still shocked how hard it was raining when I was driving slow. It was even harder than before!

At this point it was really windy and the rain was going crazy!

Lastly this is inside. You can hear it pounding on the skylight!

Hope you all enjoyed going on my rain adventure with me! :-)

Grandma Taylor

Last week this world lost a fabulous lady! Grandma Taylor passed away last Sunday the 14th. Grandma loved all of us so much and touched everyone with her smile! What touches me the most is to see the love between Grandpa and her. They have been married since she was barely 17 and him barely 18 and they kept their love strong til the end! And because they were so in love they had 7 girls. For the funeral I made some slide shows to play during the viewing. One I made was the Legacy of her and Grandpa. 21 Grand kids and 20 Great grand kids! Amazing! It really fits the saying "All because two people fell in love." What a legacy she left behind! Here is everyone.

I Love YOU!!!

Can I just say how much we love our nieces and nephews? Dayton does the cutest thing to say I love you. Such a Sweetie!

Disneyland

Last week Jonathan and his mom and I got to go to California. Wendy is getting ready to head back over to Iraq and there was a family training in LA where they fly you down, pay for your hotel and food and you go to the conference. So we flew down on Friday and spent all day Saturday at the conference and then Sunday and Monday we spent at Disneyland! Here are some fun pics.

We just got to Disneyland and we are already tired!

This is actually a funny story. We got a wheelchair and Jonathan was pushing me and had his heeley's on. As we pulled into Main Street USA he decided to push me while riding his heeley's. Well he fell backwards and didn't let go of the wheelchair. Therefore I went back with him. At first I thought he was teasing me... until I fell on top of him. Within 5 seconds we had 10 Disney employees around us and one took thier walk e talkie and said "we need a medic!" Embarrassed I was like "I'm fine I swear I'm fine!" They helped me up and I think I hurt Jonathan more than I was hurt falling back. This is just a pic of his injury.

Here we are at the Blue Bayou. This is the restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean.

After the whole wheelchair incident Jonathan needed it more than me.

I'll kill him for making that face! But still a cute pic!

The second day we got a electrical scooter.

I just love this saying.

Lastly here is a video from our hotel room. We stayed at the Westin LAX airport and we could see planes coming in. It was awesome! I think I enjoyed it more than Jonathan.

Overall our trip was fun and I just can't get enough of Disney!

May Stuff

Wow I can't even believe that May is over and we are creeping into June! And I can't believe how horrible I've been at blogging lately! Well here are some things that have happened last month.

I guess we will go ahead and get started with my birthday. My birthday was on May 14th and my cousin Sarah's is on the 12th so on the 13th we decided to do a combo birthday (I don't know why we never did it before). We ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory and it was sooo yummy! And the next day on my birthday Jonathan threw a party at our house. It was lots of fun! Here are some pics from that.

I guess next are Becky's kids. They are so silly and fun sometimes! Becky had the kids up a few weeks ago and they just wanted silly pictures taken of them. And I learned that Abbie didn't know my name! I would ask who everyone else was but when it came to me it was "I dunno!" Lol such a silly girl! Then a couple of days ago she knew my name so it was okay!

Another thing that happened is Mother's Day! We went with our Mom's to Sizzler. Mmmm!

Next is my cousin and his wife Daisy are having a baby girl soon and there was a lovely baby shower for her! She got a lot of cool stuff and we had fun painting our own bibs and onsies. I did a onsie based on World of Warcraft! Below are a few pics!

Next Wendy got a condo up at Snowbird for the week and we spend a few days up there. I should have taken more pics! The room was so nice and had a great view of the snowy slopes. And a hot tub on the balcony! Very nice indeed! Here are some pics of the room.

Next is one of my favs! Our Filly... Our fat chunky little butter ball. He is 300 grams overweight and he doesn't jump and run, he ripples and jiggles! Jonathan found him asleep under the couch. So cute!

My dad got a invite to do a private tour of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and gave it to us so a couple of weeks ago we got to go view it. It is beautiful! What is really cool is that while we were taking our tour Dallin H. Oaks was with us! After we viewed the temple there was an amazing tent with a buffet so we go to have dinner with him as well! Talk about once in a lifetime experience. It was so much fun! Here are some pretty pics of the temple.

Last but no least is the TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT!!!! My dad got me front row tickets for my birthday and I took Ellie up with me. You should have seen her when I told her we were sitting separate from everyone else. She looked glum. When we approached the front row I told her and she got over that very quickly! The concert was amazing! Ellie got to touch Taylor's hand and her violinist gave Ellie a guitar pick and kept waving to her. It was so much fun! After the concert we went to Applebee's and then the girls slept over.

So basically May is such a busy month so I'm glad I finally got a chance to blog about it. Better late than never right???

Kimberly's "Feel Good" Blog

So a few months ago my dad came into work with a coupon for me for a free photo shoot with Coverlook (also known as Jaylynn). I was super excited because I hadn't done it in years! So I thought what the heck? It's almost my birthday so why not get some pics to prove I can still look hott! And I think thats exactly what I did. You tell me what you think! My mom brought in Taylor to have some fun to! He had just gotten groomed and looks so handsome! The outfits are just some of my favorite clogging costumes. The pink and white is a team one and the purple is my freestyle costume.

That is my All American Team jacket hanging off the chair. They cut out alot of it.

There has been a lot happen the past few weeks! I will have to write a nice blog about it later. For those of you who have not heard I will be having a birthday party next Thursday, May 14th, at our house. Let us know if you can make it or not or need directions!

Love you all!

XOXOXO

April 30, 2009

It's April and we are here!

Well here we are the last day of April. *sigh* Mother nature sure has taken us on a roller coaster ride too! Snow one day and hot another. Well I guess I should start out with April Fools. I still have people asking me if I'm pregnant, how far along I am, and if I'm having a boy or a girl. You have to admit it was a good one!

The biggest thing with us is getting all are final papers done. This is our last week of school for the semester. Jonathan is done but I still have 2 finals. It shouldn't be too hard, just time consuming.

Here is a few things that happened this month. For me it was Alumni. When I was in high school I was in dance company and every year our teacher has the dance co. alumni come back and to a dance. We did a modern lyrical to "Pretty good year" by Tori Amos. I will try to get a video up soon. Im not in the pic below but its fun!

Here is a pic of my bear claw

Another thing that happened in April was Kalynne's baby's blessing. Here is Jonathan with her baby Reagan. So cute!

Well we never knew it before but we have a Jedi living with us! He goes by Mr. Hankey! Just like Scooter, Hankey loves to steal straws. Apparently he likes to use them as weapons too!

This next pic is of Shaunte and Ashtyn and I after the Murray Dance Co. concert at Leatherby's.

There was a lot more that happened this month but perhaps I shall fill you in later. Hope everyone finds May to be exciting and fun! May is my birthday, Becky's birthday and Teri Lynn's wedding! Hooray!
