Locks of Love

On May 13th I donated 10.5" of hair to Locks of Love. Most of you may know that I was purposely growing it for this reason. And now I'm very proud that I have done this! I have very short hair now and I'm still trying to get used to it but I feel awesome knowing I'm helping someone who needs the hair more than I do! Here are some pictures of my new hair do!

Yay!! I'm very excited. 4 years now!

All American Champion Kimberly Bradbury

Mrs. Kimberly Bradbury, after months of rigorous and intense training, after hours and hours of pounding and pounding… Some days her feet would be moving so fast I thought of removing the carpet for fear it would catch on FIRE! As one foot would go up another would come down and an arm would swing in directions you couldn’t even imagine. There she would go, turning left, no wait, right. No wait left again! Man if you could have been there on those grueling nights of practice. She was mind blowing.

Finally May 16th 2008. The dreaded day of battle. I call it “C-Day”. As I could only imagine her heart began to pound as she entered the battle field bounding up the hill. She had a smile that could knock 10 competing warriors to their knees. The war drums started to beet slowly at first and then quickly sped to full speed.

No sooner did one foot start then another began. Left then right, heal then toe, if I didn’t know better I would have presumed her a machine. The precision and timing were flawless. Every second that went by you saw an enemy fall by the wayside with her tremendous pounding… Now don’t tell anybody but I even saw someone run from the battle field in fright at the sight of Col. Kimberly Bradbury (aka Athena God of Destruction and Pain!)… Her war march was relentless! I was just a spectator but I almost ran in fear.

After 3 rounds at less than a minute the war was over. Sure there were still shots being fired. A little spat here a little spat there. Some trying desperately to turn the tide, but they were too late. The damage had been done and too many lay by the wayside to recover from Col. Bradbury’s destruction.

The next day Col. Kimberly Bradbury returned to tread on the ground she had been to the day before… Some that were there that day rumored to call that ground the slaughter house after seeing what was done… All the Generals, all the distinguished guests and all the citizens were there to witness such glowing example of a warrior. The celebration lasted well into the night. At approximately 23:00 hours Col. Bradbury was called to the stage that had been erected in her honor. “Col Kimberly Bradbury, we cannot express how thankful we are that you honored us with your presence.” I heard one of the spokesmen announce. “You are a shining example to us and to all future warriors.” he said with humility. “It would be to our deepest gratitude if you would accept this award in appreciation for your efforts. So today it is my Great Pleasure to present you with your 4th All American Clogging Champion award!”

Now you wouldn’t have believed it if you had heard it yourself. I have never heard a crowd cheer and yell and whistle and scream so much. And I, being the luckiest man in the world, having the unimaginable pride and privilege to be married to this extraordinary wonder, was able to escort her off the grand stage and “Kiss the Girl”.

I love you honey. Congratulations on your victory! You are amazing.

Every Word Spoken in Truth,

Mr. Jonathan Bradbury
