Frightmares with Ellie and Savannah

A couple of weeks ago we took the girls to Lagoon for Frightmares. We had a fun time! The first night we went was on a Thursday night and it wasn't very crowded at all! We had to wait just a short time to go on all the rides. And good news for Savannah! She is able to go on a lot of the big rides now! (That is if she wears her Heely's). She went on the swings, Colossus, Wild Mouse, Wicked, and the Spider. She was still too short for Rocket, Samari, and Jet Star. We sure had a fun time watching the Halloween shows too! We had so much fun I took them back Friday! But it was really crowded that day so we didn't stay too long. Here are some pics from the fun!

Conference

A few days before conference we got a phone call from Teri, the bishops wife, informing us that Dale got tickets for general conference 1st session and asked us if we wanted to go! Depressed I said... I gotta work. But it all worked out and we were able to make it!

On our way in was crazy! Thousands of people were piling into the center around protesters. They are so silly! Telling us to believe in Jesus Christ and read the bible. We do! Don't they know? We thought we were running late but we were able to make it in out of the rain.

Once seated we were relieved that we made it and anticipated seeing the prophet come out. We were able to use Jonathan's phone to snap a pic of us.

Once the conference began we got to listen to President Monson speak first followed by many of the other leaders including one from relief society. We took notes so we could remember what we listened to later.

When the conference was over going out was a zoo! And when we got outside it was pouring rain. It was quite amazing actually! The protesters were still there, but that's not the amazing part. There were several groups of people under umbrellas singing hymns and magically you couldn't hear the protesters anymore.

It was a great experience we will never forget!

Ellie and I's Baptism Day

On September 6th Elizabeth and I were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After what seemed to be the worst week of my life, it ended on a wonderful note! While Ellie and I were getting ready we kept saying "were getting BAPTIZED!!!" And jumping in the air. I thought when it would get time to get in the water I would be procrastinating like crazy. I was ready. I got in. Jonathan said the prayer and dunked me. When I came out of the water before I opened my eyes I asked "Did I go under all the way?" I heard about 15 yeses and opened my eyes and hugged Jonathan. Jokingly I pretended to push him underwater. HE FELL IN! So I can now joke Jonathan baptized me... but I baptized him too. I will paste the program on here so you can all see the order of events. Thank you to Becky and all those who prepared food for the lovely picnic after and all the nice gifts and notes! They are deeply appreciated.

I was confirmed Sunday morning by my Grandpa Hilton. I don't know how many people ended up in my circle but I'm guessing 10 lol! I had only asked 5 I believe. It's good to know so many people care about me and wanted to be in my circle. Their hands were heavy! I prayed "oh grandpa please don't take too long." It was short and sweet. Even though it was short he said a lot. I'm so happy he got this opportunity. After the hands were laid off my head I felt happy. During sacrament several of my family members got up and bore their testimony. Jonathan kept poking me to go up. I did the indescribable! With out thinking my body just kind of stood up and walked up. I said "Well.... I guess the Holy Ghost is kicking in because he told me to come up here". The congregation laughed and I knew I had them in the palm of my hands.

Here are some pics of the baptism. Thank you to my dear friend Nila for taking these!
